Exhibitor PR ToolsAs you begin to make your PR and marketing plans, we encourage you to use International CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2009® as a platform for announcing your company’s news. There is no other venue that brings together all of the key reporters and industry analysts who cover wireless technology. Press attendance at this event continues to grow with significant participation from business, IT, online and consumer press outlets from around the world. The CTIA PR team is in constant contact with the media, and we’re interested in learning about any new products, services or company announcements you’re planning for the show. In addition to our team’s media outreach efforts, we regularly receive inquiries from journalists who are looking for the latest "exhibitor news." Our PR team is here to help you plan and execute public relations activities for International CTIA WIRELESS I.T. & Entertainment 2009. Feel free to contact if you need any assistance or have any questions leading up to the show. We are also available onsite during the show to help you! CTIA PR Contacts
PR Opportunities
Exhibitor Interview RoomsInterview rooms are located next to the Media Center. They are available to EXHIBITORS ONLY for onsite interviews with press and analysts in one-hour time slots beginning Tuesday, October 6 through Friday, October 9. There is a one-hour limit per day, per exhibitor. Interview Room hours are the same as the Media Center hours of operation. Contact Liora Bram at lbram@msipr.com to make a reservation.
Exhibitor Virtual Press Kits – Virtual Press Office (VPO)Many CTIA exhibitors are using VPO to post their press kits online. This is the preferred distribution method, and so green! Virtual Press Office (VPO) and BusinessWire are the official and exclusive online press kit and press release distribution services for International CTIA WIRELESS IT & E 2009, working with exhibitors to post items on a dedicated Web site. These materials will also appear on the official show Web site and on every computer screen in the CTIA Media Center in San Diego. To learn more, please contact: Leon Harbar - BusinessWire
Exhibitor Hard Copy Press KitsExhibitors that still prefer to distribute hard copy press kits may drop them off in the CTIA Media Center beginning Tuesday, October 6, 2009, at 8:00 a.m. Please consider putting your press kit on a USB or CD—it saves significantly on paper waste and the media appreciate it! Please note, as part of CTIA’s commitment to green business practices, this will be the last CTIA show to accept paper press kits. CTIA WIRELESS 2010 will NOT accept paper press kits. CTIA does not accept shipped delivery of press kits, so exhibitors should plan to hand-deliver press kits to the Media Center. Please limit your Media Center distribution to approximately 50 press kits. We encourage you to keep some press kits on hand in your booth! Only exhibitors may leave their press kits in the designated area within the Media Center; this includes companies who have purchased meeting rooms on the show floor.
Pre-Registered Media ListExhibitors must assign a PR contact to gain access to the pre-registered press list, which becomes available approximately one month before the show. The pre-registered press list contains only the names and contact information of reporters and analysts who have “opted in” to receive news and updates from exhibitors. The list provides you with most reporters’ beats and areas of news coverage interest. We strongly encourage you to examine this list closely and to only contact reporters and analysts who cover your market. Please do not blast an email to everyone on the list. The list is constantly updated and you can download updates periodically by logging into your account. Please fill out the Exhibitor PR Contact Form to gain access to and download the pre-registered press list.
Press Conference RoomCTIA provides a press conference room for the exclusive use of International CTIA WIRELESS IT & E 2009 exhibitors. Time slots are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis in one-hour increments. Press conferences may not be conducted on the exhibit floor, in meeting rooms or in hotel rooms. Catering is not permitted. Additional A/V requirements, including Internet access, must be coordinated by CTIA at the exhibitor’s expense. CTIA schedules press conferences for minimal conflict with keynotes and other events. While exhibitors are responsible for promoting their news conferences, CTIA will post the press conference schedule on the show Web site, email it to all pre-registered media and make it available onsite in the Media Center. Contact Liora Bram at lbram@msipr.com to schedule a press conference. |
